First and foremost, I am an environmentalist.
The Environmental Consumer
I spend much of my time working on projects related to the Environmental Consumer - specifically the recently launched letter-writing tool and a couple unannounced projects. The Environmental Consumer aims to fill the knowledge gap between consumers and industry by facilitating communication between consumers and companies and by researching and providing the best available information on the actual sustainability of consumer goods.

Americorps/Sierra Nevada Alliance
Currently (as of Feb. 2009), I am serving with Americorps at the Sierra Nevada Alliance, a nonprofit conservation and capacity-building organization for community and environmental partners throughout the Sierra.
1Sky
In two stints, I spent about 9 months working at 1Sky, a highly collaborative campaign for federal climate change legislation. As a member of their policy team, I analyzed legislation, current events and policy-based solutions to climate change. 1Sky is an amazing organization and is rapidly advancing the discourse on climte change and the steps the United States must take to re-engage the world community and do its part.
